Since 1890 the Boulevard has been one of Richmond's majestic streets where activity abounds. "On The Boulevard" captures the intersection of Boulevard and Grove looking toward the east facade of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. This view shows the grand original entrance of this beautiful Georgian-style building which opened to the public in 1936. Also commonplace on the Boulevard are flower vendors, one is seen here selling a bouquet to a young passerby. The scene also reflects the vibrancy of this charming part of Richmond.
