Island Bird (1882) and Island Blossom (1892) are historic, actively raced Chesapeake Bay log canoes built by William S. Covington on Tilghman Island. These vessels, among the few surviving from the 19th-century "Island" series, are renowned for their speed and are frequently sailed by descendants of the original builder.
