The 29th America's Cup was held in May 1995 in San Diego between the winner of the 1995 Citizen Cup, Team Dennis Conner, with the yacht Stars and Stripes and the winner of the 1995 Louis Vuitton Cup, Team New Zealand, with the yacht Black Magic. This was presented to Mayor Golding in appreciation for her support by Charles L. Nichols, President, America's Cup XXIX.
