Kelly McConnell Cox

Art and music runs in Kelly McConnell Cox’s family. With uncanny artistic ability first recognized at age six in a portrait she drew of her three older brothers, Kelly won awards at local art shows for her pastel and watercolor portraits. Kelly’s professional training began at the University of Delaware where she received awards for her artistic achievement. She went on to earn a Master of Fine Arts Degree from the prestigious Hoffberger School at the Maryland Institute College of Art.

Kelly returned to her roots in Chester County, Pennsylvania, and there, found her painting voice. Kelly is known for her love of animals and open space, her striking commissioned portraits of people and pets, and her portrayals of local scenes and the Jersey shore, where she vacations every summer. After a recent eye-opening trip to Tanzania, Kelly plans to paint African animals in their natural habitat.

Kelly has been painting professionally since 1999.
