Bovano of Cheshire

The artisans of Bovano bring an old-world decorative craft to life. – Vitreous enamel (pulverized glass) is applied by hand, using a delicate sprinkling method, layered over solid copper and then kiln fired. Today, at the start of the new millennium, Bovano artisans continue to use many of the techniques developed from the early days of the company’s founding in 1952.

Combining modern technology and old world craftsmanship, highly skilled Bovano artisans continue creating quality sculptures using knowledge developed through decades of experience. The old foundry building at the heart of Bovano’s business still includes the enameling studio.
