About Carl: He is recognized by the State of Maryland as an official Maryland Artist. This means some of his etchings are included in the Maryland State Arts Collection. Born 1950, Carl grew up in Annapolis and now etches within the states government buildings. All of his work is done freehand, using no stencils or lasers. When you look closely you see the details that he includes, sometimes even hidden words that add more of a story to the etchings.
