Regular price $500.00

4" x 7" Original Watercolor Study

One of three watercolor studies made for Omani Sultan Quaboos's Chief Military Advisor. They show 3 views of the Port of Muscat in 1836, and portray the Sultan BIN SAID's 2 deck ship IMAUM before the forts JALALI JAIRA and MIRANI.
Local and regional traditional craft can be seen in and around the ship. The ship was sent as a gift to King William IV and was filled with eastern themed fine presents including a team of Arabian horses.
