William Dennis Stille was active/lived in Massachusetts, Connecticut. Stille is known for Marine-historical views and sailing ships. We currently have two original Stille paintings in our collection for sale.

Susie S. was a historic wooden sailboat, specifically a sandbagger, known for its speed and racing prowess in the 1860s and 1880s. It was one of the fastest and most famous sandbaggers of its time, built in 1869 and raced successfully until the 1880s.
