Joyful Enriquez

Joyful Enriquez (b1987) is a fine artist specializing in oil paintings of the underwater world. Her energetic paintings capture the essence of life underwater and its unique lighting, atmosphere, and movement. Joyful combines brush and palette knife work to create her unique style, which has often been referred to as "expressive realism."

Joyful studied in the classical tradition of the old masters and holds both a Bachelor's and Master's of Fine Arts degree in Fine Art and Illustration. She is an award winning member of the Oil Painters of America, American Society of Marine Artists, and the Society of Animal Artists. Over the past few years, Joyful exhibited at the Mystic Seaport Museum as their artist-in-residence, traveled to swim with Humpback Whales in Tonga through a grant on the Stobart Foundation, exhibited in several prestigious museum and gallery exhibitions across the country, and featured in publications such as Southwest Art and Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine.

An avid Scuba Diver and conservationist, Joyful's work is the result of countless hours of research in and out of the water. This hands-on approach allows her to expressively depict her subject matter while maintaining authenticity of anatomy and environment.

The artist continues to collaborate and partner with non-profit groups such as the Coastal Conservation Association through artistic donations, volunteer work, and educational programs to inspire the exploration and preservation of marine habitats for generations to come.

Currently Joyful is based in the Pacific Northwest of Washington, USA.
