Art Lamay grew up in the York, Pennsylvania countryside, where the abundant woodlands instilled in him a sincere appreciation and understanding of nature. The exacting realism of his scenes, enhanced even more by his love of nature, result
in a wildfowl lover's dream. Art presents and poses his subjects in a way that rivets the viewer's attention while it imparts personality. Art is one of the most popular waterfowl artists in the US, as evidenced by his yearly exhibitions at the Easton, Maryland Waterfowl Festival, the grandaddy of wildlife art exhibitions on the east coast. His paintings and prints are seen all over the US and the world.
